2008 'Cemetery Block' Shiraz
Just across the road from the Watervale cemetery, with headstones listing a districts who's who, is our block of 17 year old shiraz. These vines are really hitting their straps to produce elegant perfumed fruit from the valley's cool micro climate.Be seduced by the richly fragant aromas of cinnamon, mulberry and roasted almonds. The palate satasfies with an abundance of flavour comprised of boysenberry, quince, roasting herbs and truffles. The non-obstructive tannins play a structural and supportive role.

It’s full bodied with a mass of sweet dark earthy fruit, ripe chewy ‘Turkish coffee’ tannin along with additional flavours of almond and dried herbs. It’s a big hearty style, and one that’s perhaps a little warm on the finish, yet you can’t deny its seductive flavoursome appeal and big red drinking satisfaction. Drink now to 2018
